Apoorv Maheshwari, Ph.D. is a Senior Engineer at QS-2, currently working on advanced transportation and aviation problems. He completed his Ph.D. in Aerospace Systems with a focus on System-of-Systems from Purdue University, where he also acquired a Joint MS degree in Statistics and Computer Science to develop his data modeling and analyzing skills. He has a keen interest in advanced air mobility, model-based systems engineering, machine learning, network theory, on-demand air service, and the application of random-utility discrete-choice theory to air transportation systems. Apoorv has an impressive track record of working on grant-winning teams for five successful proposals to NASA, NIA, and DARPA, amounting to $1.4M. He has also served as a Project Manager for a 2-year effort with NASA Langley on identifying operational limits for passenger-carrying urban air mobility missions, with a team of 2 professors, 5 graduate students, and 2 undergraduate students. He has been the Senior student lead for Advanced Aerial Mobility & Air Transportation Cluster at Purdue’s Center for Integrated Systems in Aerospace, which is currently working on 6 projects with multiple organizations, including NASA, FAA, and US DOT. Apoorv has also served on the Statistics Diversity & Inclusion Committee at Purdue University. He completed his Bachelor of Technology (BTech) Honors in Aerospace Engineering with a Minor in Industrial Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Apoorv has a relevant experience of 1.87 years and is skilled in Research Scientist and ML.
